What helps me is learning what they teach children around 3 years old and their nusery rhymes… it’s funny but my brain for this language is as clueless as a new born … most importantly it’s helping me

I am not German but I was put into that class in year 7 at school I did the same thing found German teenage magazines lots of easy reading esp re relationships, I also found second hand a Disney book of all the Disney stories but in German as I knew the stories it helped my one tip to add I drove my family crazy but it worked I got lots of small pieces of paper and wrote the German word for things eg toilet, light switch, bed, etc and stuck them next to every item in our house haha and my last tip is if you write on a big normal piece of paper words in a language and next to it your language in a grid stick it against the outside of your shower screen. Then it’d fog up from the heat I could wash my hair etc and test myself by wiping away the fog haha
