🇮🇹🇬🇷🇵🇱🇺🇸🏛️🌿🫒🌿🏛️ From time to time when I seek for ancient artifacts in museums or on their websites when focused on south italic findings from different regions the museums often describe those items as etruscan or greek. Which in my opinion is lazy and disrespectfull to those ancient people who owned those items and wanted to be remembered as a part of their local community. We not do this when we have the knowledge? City states in campania would have different woman fashion from eachother and those little details were recognised by other communities at the time. Unfortunatelly we have written sources about them from 1st century bce so those differences by this time vanished. But what's left to us is pretty big archeological evidence of those differences and recognition of those by other more distant communities as we have vase painter from Paestum who made some work on demand for Nola style women outfit on the painting and he gets the important details well.
