has nobody mentioned the cup/ring could be stars? Older civilizations loved mapping the stars for navigation so I wouldn't doubt it... number of rings might be some organization/classification system of stars

we have the exact same cup and ring petroglyphs in Pickens south carolina, america. they're in table rock state park. I think thare are some in Georgia at two other sites but not sure of the exact locations.
