I never wanted to get married or have kids...I did both basically against my will...I was not given the choice truly. Now, I am doing what I wanted to do in my 20s now in my 40s and trying to be support for my kids

I stayed in the relationship way way longer than I should have been, because the society made me believe I would be miserable on my own 😅 I had to get to a point that staying with him was so draining that something clicked in my brain and I realized that starting over looks easier than staying. It was definitely an adjustment, but I couldn't be happier. I've been single for 2 years and my life is so peaceful and beautiful now 🥰💛 I'm so happy to see more women opening up about their experience and I think more women will join us on this journey creating an incredible life for themselves 🤗😘

Indoctrination by the patriarchal society. Not all societies are put together like this. I'm Norwegian and we have relationships as we feel is right for us. The Moushou in China live totally different from patriarchy and are fine. So look it up. It's all in our heads. And some of us sisters need to go down this path first, so others can get out of their heads (and patriarchy).

At my age, I don’t want to legally sign up to share finances or be a nursemaid to someone who has not put in the time for me. Would take a very special circumstance. ? I have single older friends who keep chasing men. I don’t get it.

I’m 51 and I’ve been married twice. We or a lot of people aren’t taught when they are you how to love themselves first. I think we would make different choices if it was so. I also think the marriage thing is a fantasy taught to us by society. There are some good men that have it right but it a small percentage of.
