I’ve ran a dewalt drill fully submerged in water doing a job never quit still works today I like both brands but hands down dewalt is better in the weather

Most of us lineman only use Milwaukee tools. From sawzalls, chainsaws and half inch impacts They get drenched 24/7 in this Oregon weather let alone dropped from heights and what not and I have yet to ever see one give up. Think ya got a lemon

ima be honest with your brother that drill looks more like its a few years old. I only have milwaukie work only outside the most you're gonna get out of them is a few good years until you'll need a new one. Just is what it is but milwaukie is definitely the hardiest to go with

I built scaffold for 7 years here in Oregon and our company always provided dewalt tools. They never quit on us no matter the weather. I’m a Milwaukee person myself but only have first hand experience with dewalt tools in the weather.

I have the same problem with impacts and sawzall... I found out that if you hold the battery in by hand tight that they work, the connection is too loose... I've seen others with same issue.

I run a solar installation crew and the guys lag 3in lags on the daily like tons of them depending on the install and they all switched over to dewalt/makita now because all there m18fuel impacts would burn out.
