Let’s talk about something simple you can do right now: checking your neck! Here’s how to do a quick neck check: 1️⃣ Tilt your head back slightly. 2️⃣ Use your fingers to gently feel (or palpate) around your thyroid area. Any lumps, tenderness, or swelling? Talk to your doctor! 3️⃣ Look in the mirror for any lumps, swelling, or unusual movements near your Adam’s apple. 4️⃣ Swallow, may repeat with a sip of water and swallow. Check again for anything different. Don’t panic if you notice something unusual, but don’t ignore it either.
