Cut them some slack?? They were given 3 years and nearly half a billion dollars to make this season. This was a VERY plot driven series, with a MASSIVELY devoted fan base. Who were going to find holes if they left them. I feel like the Duffers got lazy with the writing. Trying to prep for the spin-offs.

Cut them some slack? they were given an enormous budget they could've hired professionals to review their work and killed a few characters at the beginning to focus on the main characters.
