We have this calculator thing on our banking app for our mortgage and it said if we pay an extra $200/month on our principle it would save up $92,000 in interest over the life of our loan, thats insane but very cool. Even an extra $100/month saves us like $60,000 in interest

Sorry if I've commented this before but when we were struggling with infertility we went to a fertility doctor at Stanford who told us to remove all fragrance from our lives which we did happily. The thing I did on my own was the starts with an egg protocol and I was pregnant within the year without medical intervention

Missing your videos! They’ve been more sparse lately. Are all 3 of your STR’s booked, long term, like you were hoping??

Careful doing this! We did it but didn’t pay attention and now that we are struggling and I wish I put it into a high yield savings or a brokerage account instead so I could use it now. Maybe have 12 months of expenses saved then do that?

For the extra mortgage payment consider if you could invest that extra payment and make more than your interest.

“Pay yourself first” is the financial advice I have always been given. If you wait to save what’s left at the end of each month, you will end up wasting more and saving less. It’s better to decide upfront what to save (or extra to apply to mortgage) and then spend what’s left after that. I give that same advice to my own kids.

We changed to biweekly payments for our mortgage and watching our principal gown down so much faster! It’s supposed to take at least 5 years off of our loan term 🎉 Plus it’s nice having 2 small amounts come out per month rather than one large one. Going to start adding an additional $100 to each payment as well

I was able to pay off my mortgage much earlier by paying a little extra every month. Very smart idea.
