@travelnistaonthemove: I was invited to @Poetrymeplease at Kings Theater and this was my first time ever going to a poetry spoken word event! I didn’t know what to expect but we really had a great time! poetry me, please is really about community you can feel it in the room. They have created a space where people can tell their stories, share their truth, and actually be seen and heard. The energy was so good. The poems were deep, emotional, and inspiring. I resonated with so many of the pieces. During intermissions, we were connecting, laughing, singing, dancing, meeting artists, poets, and creators from all over. This night reminded me how important it is to try new things show up to spaces that feel different and keep adding experiences like this to my social calendar. I really left feeling inspired connected and grateful for the experience 🤍
