I have a CS degree from NTU and is working as a cybersecurity researcher. CS is still the right choice if you like tech as CS degree allows you to jump into any tech field. If you go into a specialised degree like data analytics, information system, etc, you might not be able to switch to other tech fields.

I'm a solutions engineer making 15 - 20k a month working at a cybersecurity vendor (graduated in 2020). Doing CS doesn't ultimately mean being a code monkey or a developer is your only path. In fact, there's good money if you're willing to talk, present, or explain technical concepts in simple ways.

CS degree is still very helpful though.Even more powerful when paired with AI skills. AI won’t replace programmers. Programmers who use AI will replace those who don’t.

Don't study if u expecting a secure job, 4-yr degrees are outdated. instead go for apprenticeship instead. or study to socialize and enjoy your youth
