In 2024, the Coldstream Country Club in Anderson Township accused Kinley Lee of embezzling $883K from the club. They say that through unauthorized credit card transactions, forged checks, and a fraudulent vendor scheme, Kinley was able to steal thousands. Lawyers believe that the plan was hatched out of desperation to resolve Kinley’s gambling debts. The club filed a civil lawsuit against Kinley, resulting in a $4 million judgement for the alleged theft. However, before the lawsuit was complete, Kinley and his wife Katherine fled to Mexico to reside at a property owned by Katherine’s father. Now local authorities are working diligently to extradite Kinley and bring him to justice. If extradited and convicted, Kinley faces two to eight years in prison, a fine of up to $15,000, and mandatory restitution. #truecrime
