So your idea for reducing paying opus 4.5 is using ChatGPT? Claude's performance is mostly shining in planning debugging and understanding user intention deeply! You lose all of that! In some situations when the coding task was not very complicated, I did the opposite. I used Gemini 3 for coding while still doing the planning & debugging with Claude 4.5.

This is interesting. I have heard it the other way. Use opus to plan (better brain) and once it has created the better plan, use sonnet or gpt to build. Will give this a try too
