The best advice I was given was to swap a lot of my wardrobe from the kitschy type of patterns to more understated ones, like plaids, stripes, dots. And to keep the pieces basic and complimentary. ALSO dressing for your body shape too will have that looking more “put together”.

1. Keeping your style elegant and put together - you can’t dress frumpy if you don’t own frumpy. 95% of my closet is dresses, pretty blouses, and skirts. Even my athletic wear is tennis skirts, matching sports bras and covers. I think I own 1 pair of leggings. I have 3 over sized shirts. And maybe 4 pairs of workout shorts. And I save those for painting, or heavy duty cleaning - like my shed. Where I don’t want to get my beautiful clothing ruined. Even when I’m cleaning, I’m in a dress and an apron. I also rarely use bleach so I don’t have to worry about my clothing getting ruined.
