Stencils really are a challenge on anyone’s patience level! This gold is beautiful but needed 2-3 coats for full coverage since it needs to be applied thinly to make sure it doesn’t bleed through and you get those nice crisp edges. I’m not going to lie, I definitely couldn’t wait long enough especially the further along I got. There was definitely some touching up required but it wasn’t too bad. Painting around the perimeter was the most challenging, around the radiator, outlet, moulding, and of course just not being able to get the stencil right up the edge of the wall and ceiling, I had to go in a freehand the remaining design to complete the wall. I know some people cut the stencil to fit close to an edge or corner, but this had so many small slits I was afraid it was going to just fall apart. How do you get up to the edges/corners to complete your stencils? Commissions open!
