@kathhsmithh: Day 5: pivot!!! I went to school for health science with the intention of becoming an OT, and realized along the way it wasn’t for me. I earned my personal training certification… and then became a full-time caregiver. While in the hospital I took linguistics courses with plans to apply for my masters speech pathology, finished top of my class, had incredible references - and still didn’t meet the grade cutoff. Eventually, I knew I needed to return to the workforce, and at 29, I became an intern. Ten years older than the rest of my cohort. Grateful, but humbled, and honestly unsure. Three years later, that internship led to the role I’m now in - one I truly enjoy. One I never could’ve planned for, but one that fits. Sometimes the world humbles you with the intention of guiding you in a direction you may not have thought about. If you’re rolling with the punches right now, trust that something is still unfolding for you. #becoming #becoming33 #humility
