Good to know. The two thumbs looks way better than the two finger method.

Such a good demonstration on what to do! I hope to never have to use this on any kiddo or my kids

I gave my NICU baby CPR the last day she was supposed to stay there and got her back with the 2 finger method about a year ago. It is very important that everyone learns infant, child and adult CPR. It’s very scary, but you go into a hero mode when it’s an emergency. ❤️🩹

I thought the recommendation wasn’t to stop to do the breaths anymore, focus on pumping blood with compression instead?

also remember don't just say "somebody call 911" tell someone specific to call (ex: "Billy! call 911")or people might think someone else called and then nobody ends up calling

Excellent excellent excellent video. The credit card tip is awesome and the xiphoid process caution is.

I just renewed my infant CPR today and was wondering about what happened to the two finger chest compressions. Now I know, I guess!

As an early educator I’m required to be cpr/ first aid certified. The person teaching us cpr told us not to bother with the 2 breaths. I found that to be ridiculous. If I’m ever in a situation where cpr is needed I would be doing 2 breaths.

Honestly such a good change, my fingers hyperextend and i couldn’t do the 2 finger method during my CPR training bc they bent weird instead of compressing the chest

Alex - Twin Mom :
Is this age or weight? My twins just turned 1 but are barely even 12lbs yet which would put them in the infant range correct?

I was a EMS dispatcher for 3 years up until 2025 I became a stay at home mom. I’m usually always up to date with CPR certifications but with being away from my profession I am so glad you shared this information because to be honest I wouldn’t have known the technique changed.. thank you
