I hate when people go on about structural issues. That notion doesn’t make it any less disruptive. And if the person below has to understand that then people above can understand it too and try to adjust sometimes.

people don’t get it, it’s the noise after 10 pm to 5 in the morning causing me to lose sleep, they are allowed to live but they also should understand how to be courteous and not move furniture and shit at 2 am

everyones mad and i get it, but this can def be a neighbor thing too😭 lived in the same place for two years and we had no noise from multiple previous neighbors, but the new ones above us make the whole apartment shake every night all night. if it’s new and you’ve had people living there before without issue, it’s probably not the building or you.

I’ve had to repeatedly learn the hard way that I can not handle being a downstairs neighbor. I like my quiet. I now only rent a place if I’m on the top floor 😭

My upstairs neighbor the husband was here for 4 months and I swear I couldn't tell he was home much you could hear some walking but it wasn't bad and noise as he moved in and out furniture together which I felt was all expected. His wife got here a few months ago and she stomps around like crazy. My windows shake, my walls shake, my ceiling fan above my kitchen table shakes. It's crazy to me because it's very obvious she's stomping and running when her husband walks around with little to no noise. She also slams doors all the time she can't seem to close doors without slamming them same with cupboards and she runs her garbage disposal for over 5-10mins. I'm honestly shocked at how she doesn't seem to have any care for those who also live here.
