I’ve been making and using homemade laundry detergent prob 3 years. No complaints. I also wash my washer every 3-4 weeks with Oxyckean and citric acid.

Scent boosters are not wax!!! Just stay away from fabric softener because that will coat your machine. Scent boosters don’t affect your machine. The issue with your homemade is that it’s not HE safe
