@long: This is a story I watch every time I see it. Wanted to share. 2018 Horizon Air Q400 incident (also known as the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport airplane theft). Richard Russell used his employee access badge to board an empty Horizon Air Q400. He started the engines by himself and taxied to a runway without authorization. At approximately 7:32 PM local time, he took off without clearance. Two F-15 fighter jets from the Oregon Air National Guard were scrambled to intercept the aircraft. Russell flew the plane for about 75 minutes, performing a barrel roll, despite having no formal flight training. He communicated with air traffic control in a calm but surreal conversation, expressing regret, joking at times, and talking about feeling “broken” and wanting to see the Olympics mountain range. #MentalHealth #mentalhealthmatters #MentalHealthAwareness #viral #fypage
