This is true… but keeping your emergency fund in SCHD beats keeping it in a HYSA! So what I would do if I was younger than 40 is keep necessary bill & fun money in a normal checking, skip the HYSA, whatever your emergency fund needs to be in SCHD (3-12 months depending) and the rest focused on growth ETFs and companies!

The biggest mistake is not buying what matches your risk tolerance. If people can’t handle VOO swings then dividend investing makes sense
