I know you are just starting but being a family doctor is a business and from the business side you must have policies in place to maximize efficiency and eliminate no shows. Not just for the money but also because it prevents patients who do need to see you from booking. They are not getting the care they need because of people who book and don’t come

Start an appointment app that will remind your patients of 48hrs of their appts plus have fees to charge for no shows. Most doctors have these set up.

People have no respect for anyone’s time. In our clinic there is a $50 charge for no shows. Must be paid before they book back for anything. 🤷♀️

My clinic has a no show policy- enforced by administration so that the relationship between doc and patient is not effected & you still get paid- you have bills to pay!
