Mothers can have fathers around and still be robbed of the experience and can also feel lonely. It’s all about perspective for me. I enjoy being a solo parent! I just wish I had more money which I’m working towards. I want to have more freedom to spend with my son ☹️

I feel this as the child. My brother and I were raised by a single mother and the things you mentioned is how my mom was. She had to take on a more paternal role. Now that I’m a Mom myself, I am very nurturing to my girls because that’s what I wanted from my mom. Having kids really makes you reflect on your own upbringing. I don’t blame my mom. I know she did the best she could. My mom told me she loves being a grandma because she gets to be present in their life without having to be responsible for their discipline.

Single mom of 3 kids here and I can absolutely agree. Their father has been absent for years and everything falls on me. It’s tough out here. But remembering that they deserve it a childhood makes me try to do better
