I used to tip so much more. I tip so much less now.

Tipping at a restaurant is not optional. Also car detailing, hair salons, tattoo parlors and nail salons.

This problem seriously needs to shift from “if you don’t have money to tip, don’t go out”, to “if you aren’t happy with your wages, get a different job”. Why is it on the consumer to pay the wages of staff? It’s ridiculous. Wait staff are getting mad at the wrong people.

Nope. I went to a seafood boil the other day and bill was $300. IM NOT PAYING $70 additional dollars for a guy to drop a bag of steamed seafood on a tray in front of me and fill my glass 3 times. I gave a vary generous $30. Should have been $20

It’s really embarrassing when people don’t know that the money to pay wages at a business comes from customers buying the goods or services at the business. “Why should I pay your wage?” Do you not know that’s how it is at all businesses?

Its absolutely the customer faults. There are several restaurants trying to be non-tipping and customers should visit those restaurants instead restaurants that it expecting customers to tip. Customer attack the person with the job and make them suffer and expect that worker to be bold and not work. When hire they said this is the pay plus tip. Same as a sales person salary plus commission. Its the lost of respect for the working people.

What do you mean price went up with no reason? Do you see our insurance going up? Do you see our electrical bills going up? Do you see repairs going up? If people not going to make money from tipping, they’re going to find a different job.

Now that they add an automatic gratuity to the bill service charge, and all these added extra charges that they’re tacking on to my bill you don’t get a tip after that sorry I just paid for your health insurance that’s enough
