@kellibrigallagher: Hoping I pass my glucose test but here’s a little pregnancy update while we wait! #thirdtrimester #glucosetest #secondpregnancy second time mom talking about her third trimester of pregnancy while getting ready for her glucose test to check for gestational diabetes
I had preeclampsia with both my pregnancy’s, I developed it earlier in my first pregnancy. My second pregnancy was around 32 weeks and ended up delivering him at 33w 3d which was a little better then my first at 32w 2d

As a person who has had gestational diabetes I don’t understand why people would try to “trick” the test also you know if your blood sugar is high you can feel it. If you can feel it so can your baby.

I failed my one hour by eight points. I dreaded the three hour and it wasn’t bad at all, even the fasting portion cause I slept during it 😭

As someone who used diagnosed with it during my first pregnancy but had every symptom and my newborn child suffered the consequences of it, I told my doctor this pregnancy that I was pretty sure I had it and asked for an early test, turns out I failed that, failed the three hour and now I’m having to track my glucose 4 times a day and the only time I have any elevation is my fasting, I have no had to limit my diet or really change anything this far

My third was the most chill baby, toddler, child, teenager and now young adult. He slept thorough the night from the very first week. If all babies were like him I would had 3 more.

I didn’t have pre e but I’m scheduled for my 3rd c section the end of the month. I do have GDM this time 🫠. My scheduled c section was a breeze compared to my first (unplanned). You check in and then two hours later you have a baby in your arms.

Scheduled C-Section was the best. I was going to do a v-back ONLY if I went into labor on my own with my second.

Jen Hamilton’s good vibes/bad vibes VBAC video is what helped me decide on a repeat C-section last time, too! First wasn’t planned, second was and OMG it was SUCH an easier recovery. Having my third in March 💕

I just passed mine and it was my first time doing it. It wasn’t bad at all. I don’t get why they act like that. I was just super tired after it

My third baby has been my chillest kiddo, my oldest absolutely loves him. He completed our family. But I definitely understand why some people say your third makes you want a fourth 😂

Scheduled C-section is totallllllly different experience! It is like checking in. They even had me take a shower peacefully before.

My nurse asked me what my cravings were for my test. In truth I told her an extra strong margarita on the rocks with no salt and nachos with extra sour cream. She gave me a lemon lime drink and told me to freeze it. It’ll be like a frozen marg and to go get nachos after as a *reward*. I hope her pillow is always cold. Also the glucose test is not that bad.

Why would anyone want to trick the test? Genuinely curious. Because I’m 12 weeks pregnant and I worry about the baby every day. So lying to pass a test is wild to me

I was induced at 34 weeks with my first with preeclampsia. I took a baby aspirin my entire second pregnancy and didn’t develop preeclampsia until 39 weeks and my doctor was going to let me go for the whole 40 weeks. I’m on my 3rd pregnancy and taking baby aspirin again but I did develop gestational hypertension this time and am taking medication for it and I have a new doctor now who is taking me at 37 weeks. I think it just depends on the doctor’s preference. 😊
