If it’s late one time, I feel like that’s a call or a phone call for a reminder or to see what’s going on. Most states require a notice before you can file the eviction. That can serve as the reminder.

We rent and I can’t imagine doing this to someone else’s house….we always pay early and treat the house like it’s ours with keeping it clean and the outside upkeep

My landlord deals with alot of people who wont communicate at all, so if you wont talk with your landlord and explain what's going on thats on you as a tenate.
