We had an at home “movie night” this year for my son’s 9th bday and had 5 kids over. It still cost me a couple hundred dollars but they all said it was the best bday party they had been to. I’m debating on not even doing parties for my youngest who will be 3 this year.

We never could afford those kinds of parties for our children. We had a backyard bbq with cake and a few friends and a piñata one year. And pin the tail on the donkey!

I thought the same and decided to just have a birthday party at home, that cost me $3k lol decorations, goody bags, food, bounce house, table and chair rentals; it all adds up. I should have gone with the $400 trampoline park party pack.

I’ve started to give my son two options… either I’ll pay for your party or I’ll give you the cash that equals the party cost… he chooses the money… saves me the headache or the potential of throwing a party and only a handful show up

We did the trampoline park ONCE… when he turned 7 (10 now). Of course a January birthday 😩. We paid the $400 if more than 10 kids we had to pay PER HEAD. His whole class came. #RIPme
