@missy23232: When interviewers ask “Why should we hire you,” they’re not looking for a generic answer — they’re looking for clarity, alignment, and impact. This question is your chance to connect your experience directly to what the company actually needs right now. A strong answer here can be the difference between blending in and standing out in a competitive job market. #TikTokCreatorSearchInsightsIncentive #interviewtips #interview #careeradvice #LearnItOnTikTok
Your videos got me to the third interview and then I got thrown a curveball. They asked something very niche and specific to the role but I wasn’t expecting it and didn’t have a great answer for it 😭

I’m just here to report I watched your videos before my interview last week. I got hired. Especially the tell me about yourself, be curious about the position as if you’re not looking, and how do you meet deadlines. Thank you!

What are your feelings about disclosing a personal reason for wanting the role? For example, if I’m looking to relocate closer to family, is that something you recommend sharing in addition to the professional impact? Or would you leave that out completely?

I’m currently interviewing for multiple director roles and I can honestly say that I find extreme value in the content that you’re providing. Hopefully, your hacks will help me land my next role sooner than later 😅

As an HR Executive, I can echo everything that Missy just said. Be prepared to answer this question in the way that Missy suggests. You can make it your own, but please DON't give a generic answer to this question. Thanks Missy!

Why do HRs ask the these questions separately in one interview? What do they expect to hear differently “why should I hire you”, “tell me about yourself”, “what makes you the right person in this role”. I feel the HRs come unprepared to the interview themselves, just throwing in questions that are repetitive and expect the candidate come up with new words? Frankly, I lose my interest in such companies.

My answer I had an interview on Monday with silhouette optical company and my answer to Y silhouette wine now? Was because I’m comfortable with your product able to fit it able to adjust it and troubleshoot it but more so overall I love teaching I love finding those moments where opticians find in the repair intimidating, and I love finding teachable relatable, simplistic ways. This is the value and impact that I would bring the silhouette product, confidence and teach with ease and relatability.
