@marysusangerrald: Today’s update is a hard one to put into words, but we promised to always be honest with y’all. 🤍 Our first ultrasound didn’t give us the answers we were hoping for. We weren’t able to see anything in the gestational sac yet, and the original dates versus what Skye is measuring are a little off, so right now, we’re trying to figure out what that means. We were sent for a stat hCG today, and the numbers are increasing, which is a good thing. We’re not going backwards… we’re just sitting in that uncomfortable space of not knowing. And if you’ve been here before, you know how heavy that waiting can feel. Still, there was a little God wink today, one of those quiet reminders that we’re not walking this alone. We’re holding onto that with everything we have. Next week, we’ll go back for another ultrasound and another hCG draw, praying for clarity, answers, and peace no matter what comes. Please continue to send love, well wishes, and prayers our way, we feel every single one. 🤍 Thank you for walking this journey with us, even in the uncertain moments. #ivfjourney #surrogacyjourney #ivfupdate #praying #babyhitchhiker @Skye Hitchcock

Hey, not following you but have been following skye, i know in america 6weeks ultrasounds are not very common. In my country however, 6 weeks ultrasounds are VERY common and everyone does them. Not seeing anything at 6 weeks is normal. I will attach a photo of my pregnany at 5-6ish weeks in the comments so you can see how it looks like. My said ultrasound is currently over 4years old playing with legos on the carpet

With how her levels were low they were than I think implantation was a little later!!!!

I think it’s still early. I think baby boy implanted later which is why you saw the lower numbers. I think next time you will see what you need to see ❤️

My unseen baby in the gestational sac just turned 1 last week. Don’t lose hope! Dates are so finicky.

Idk why they would do an ultrasound my Obgyn always told me you can’t see anything until hcg is over 1,000 or even 2,000.

Are numbers just increasing or are they doubling? That’s the real tell tale sign.

My ultrasound at 6w6d was only an empty gestational sac. My HCG was through the roof but my progesterone was very low. They prepped me as it possibly being a blighted ovum. Went back for a few more HCG draws where it increased but never doubled. Had another ultrasound a couple of weeks later and baby was the perfect little gummy bear measuring only two days behind. She’s now 2.5 years old. Early ultrasounds can be such a whiplash. Praying!

This right here is the EXACT reason why almost all obgyns perform ultrasounds around 10-12 weeks. There is absolutely still a chance that there is a baby. Wait until Skye is 10 weeks along. PLEASE. For your peace of mind.

My first pregnancy was the same way. Saw nothing and was prepared for miscarriage. A week later there she was, a little bean with a heart beat! Early ultrasounds are soooo hard. Prayers for y’all! 🫶🏼

As all the other comments say, 6 weeks is still really early! They usually don’t have typical pregnancies in for ultrasounds until 8 weeks and beyond because you won’t be able to see too much. Everything you’re seeing right now seems right on track for what you normally would see around the 6 week mark!

I had this happen at what I thought was 6 weeks but I was only just turning 5 weeks. They saw a sac but nothing inside. I was so torn up. But I went back a week and a half later and there was my little baby with a strong heartbeat ❤️

At my 6 week ultrasound there was nothing in the sac and I was told to expect nothing great. I have a happy two year old boy. Sometimes growth is a little off in the beginning and it evens out 💖

based on the very low initial hCG I'd assume late implantation. 6w is so early for an US
