started my 97 f700 box truck with a fuel injected 429 by taping into the original fuel lines and used a fuel pump from a 01 7.3 . that way it regulates itself

It should have a fuel pump shut off switch either in the passenger side of the trunk or passenger foot Well looks like a red button. It might’ve gotten tripped when the car was being towed.
