Why not both? Picture framing looks good when standing on the deck. Then use the white siding to cover the wood framing underneath when looking at it from the sides. In my head seems like the best of both worlds.

Looks great! I always picture frame, but if the client doesn’t have the budget I do give them the option to save money and not picture frame

I have always done picture frame with a slight over hang because it seems to me that doing this will create a pocket for water to sit. I could be wrong that’s just what makes since to me

I prefer picture framing, but this is a good option for a more budget approach as picture framing requires more material, framing and time.

in my experience metering at 22 1/2 leave the actual angle shorter to help prevent the tip from curling in the sun.
