@catsofsanbernardino: We were called about a litter of kittens born in someone’s backyard. The family has two large Boxers and has been afraid to let them outside, worried they might accidentally scare or hurt the kittens. When we arrived to rescue the babies, we quickly learned just how smart they were. They had tucked themselves into a tiny space between the wall of a shed and a cement wall, completely hidden. We had to get creative. Ivy climbed up a ladder with an expandable broomstick and gently nudged one of the kittens forward while I waited on the other side. The little guy was FAST. He shot out of the opening, tried to turn back around, but I was able to grab him and get him safely into a carrier. His two siblings caught on immediately and decided they wanted no part of this plan. They darted underneath the shed where we couldn’t reach them. We now have two traps set and a game camera up so we can keep an eye on them and step in as soon as they go in 🤞 We’ve named this sweet, brave boy Bo Nix 🧡 Mom has been spotted and she is feral. She will be TNR’d once we’re able to secure her, ensuring she won’t have to go through this again. Stay tuned for updates on the rest of this little family ❤️
