The writing in how Paige was depicted by Rose to not be a replacement, but a natural evolution saved the show. The writers allowing the audience to grieve, alongside the sisters by continuing to reference Prue and NOT showing her ever again on screen made the change feel so real and natural. Charmed is such a beautiful show 💓😭

Bringing Rose McGowan in saved the show though I was GUTTED by Shannon Doherty’s exit. You get so close to characters so when something like what happened, happen, it changed how I viewed TV series’ of any kind moving

It wasn’t really the same after Shannen left, but with Rose, I did enjoy it. I only wish that it was Alyssa who had left because she was the problem. It would’ve been an interesting take to see Rose and Shannen on the show together.

And she went on Charmed and KILLLLLLED. She could cry at the drop of a hat. There was the season when the avatars took over and when they MADE her feel the pain of her boyfriend’s death….oh my heart 😢

The Cole/Balthazar/Source storyline in seasons 3 and 4 was top notch…it wasn’t the character of Paige that doubled the ratings Lol. Love Rose though, she did well.

Checking her weight??? Thats sickening. On another note they did a fantastic job of not relaying the drama on screen. I still rewatch the dvds twice a year and despite what I know, it still feels like they're sisters with an unbreakable bond.

Still my favorite show to this day. While I love Prue, her character dying did not deter me from supporting that show up to season 8. THE POWER OF THREE WILL SET US FREE

Considering how much we loved Prue, she really did a wonderful job. Ended up becoming my favourite. I didnt like how they changed her character over the next few seasons but I did stick with it till the end.

Unpopular opinion but I loved it after they added Rose. Loved Prue and RIP to Shannen, but Rose brought a new life to the show.

Holly Marie Combs was pregnant at periods during the show and also much heavier after those pregnancies in the last seasons and she still had top billing. I think being a new character they probably were micromanaging her though.
