I was pulled over and the white state trooper asked me to get out of my car and step back to his and have a seat. 5 minutes later I left with my ticket and went home. easy peasy. never occurred to me to blame him for being white

Today I got pulled over for speeding. Cop was writing me a ticket but I decided to just spark up convo and be nice. Because of my kindness, he said he changed his mind and wrote me off for a warning instead. Things will always go better if you comply and are nice. I don’t understand why people choose to worsen the situation for themselves.
