I love that they were so intense in this scene that the director had to slow the footage down because they were too fast and you can watch obi wans clothes and see that its been slowed down

Funfact: While this scene was being filmed, the actor playing Obi-Wan Kenobi kept making lightsaber sound effects with his mouth out of habit, which began to drive the actor playing Darth Maul crazy. Eventually, George Lucas told Obi-Wan Kenobi that they would be adding the sound effects later, but—likely due to force of habit—Obi-Wan Kenobi continued to make the lightsaber sounds himself throughout the entire first film.
