How would they know what to say or what to do if you continue distancing yourself? How would they reach someone who doesn’t want to be reached? grief of having to stand firm in that decision? what about the grief of not knowing that the person you love wholeheartedly has decided to distance themselves from you? for their well-being? How would you know what’s best for their well-being, when in fact, what they truly want is to talk to you and fix things? people tend to use the "it's for the best" and "this is for you too" when in reality they just use that to feel a little less guilty for hurting the other person by the decision and action they chose for themselves.
