I love my MIL… but she has mentioned several times that she wants to be there at the hospital to support my husband. “He’ll need his mom there for support” UM no thank you. He’ll be there to be MY support 😂😂

It’s so funny how people judge moms and are so pushy. Yet a couple months later, you’ll never see or hear from them again. You’ll invite them to every kid event but they won’t show up.. but they’ll ridicule you at your most vulnerable time - birth 🙄

my mil asked to be in the room while I deliver and when I said no she proceeded to show me a video of her other grandchild being born on her phone like girl THIS IS WHY. I don’t want you galavanting my most vulnerable time of my life to everyone 😭

unsure if it's all of Asia, but in my culture, we get 40 'confinement' days where the mother & baby stay in home to rest, recover and bond, while either the husband or a relative-usually the grandparent (if husband has to work) helps to cook and clean. No visitors until after that time period.

I don’t understand the obsession people have with coming to the hospital to visit a baby. I told my husband I will allow visitors if I feel up to it, but it will be very limited. Then he personally made the rule that no one can visit us at home until I am 100% ready.

Some people got mad that I didn’t tell them I had a scheduled c section 😭 like ummmm? I do not want people coming to the hospital or over after I just had major abdominal surgery

My only boundaries are don’t kiss my baby and don’t feed my kids from your fork or spoons. It’s such a hard boundary for people, idk why.

I’m NOT even telling ppl when my c-section is scheduled. So, I guess I’m just a horrible person 🤷♀️the only ppl I want at the hospital is my husband and 2 sons. I don’t need an army of ppl coming into my room at all hours of the day. They can see the baby when I’m home, and ready. Could be 1 week later or 4 weeks later.
