I absolutely love visiting Tokyo (& all of Japan!) but it’s never a cheap trip… while there are things that are free - it’s super expensive there. I did find some well priced ramen places in Kyoto. But not much in Tokyo is inexpensive. Outside of Tokyo is very interesting & more affordable. But - everyone should experience Tokyo! It’s one of the greatest cities in the world!
