I lost a lot of hair with my second child and it didn’t stop. I finally went to a dermatologist, I think it was and had a biopsy done. Come to find out I had alopecia. It’s definitely a hard journey. I wear a lot of sew in weaves, and I also make my own hair clips that I can clip into the hair that I have to fill in…but it’s not been easy.

Rose water helps a lot, Minoxidil is amazing, you get it from Costco, you just have to use it forever, Sta-sof-fro. Vitamin E, and get an attachment for soft water if you can, this hard water is so horrible for our hair. Also, don’t let anyone tell you to embrace your natural hair, it’s not like you don’t. People don’t get how hard the care is for our hair. You look beautiful in all hair styles. I would also try, the part down the middle and braid in 100% human hair. I am born and raised here. I get it. You’re going through so much, the divorce, the stress, the kiddos, work, working out, we have to think about all of that. 4C hair does grow, that person, sounds uneducated. Anyway, we need more black hairstylists. I would pop on a wig in a minute and use 592 Bobby pins if you need too. If your wig pops off, I would be so non reactive and go pick it up, and be like I’ll be right back. And have a giggle. Our hair is a journey and it’s a beautiful one. Please do an update after you soak to a specialist.

💜💜💜 I feel for you. I have periods of time where I experience large clumps of hair on wash day.

You’re not alone. I went through postpartum hair loss back-to-back with my 2nd and 3rd child. I’ve been there, and I promise you will get through it. I just started my account to share postpartum hair tips and what helped me along the way.

Would you consider a natural/texturized pixie. Don’t let hair stop you from doing the things you enjoy!

I totally relate! I've been in a bonnet for over a year due to my mobility. It's so matted and tangled it needs to be cut off. Don't give up @Cheryl Neufville it will get better. Diet, exercise, supplements to replace what you're not getting and hormonal changes.

Honestly this head scarf looks good. Also minoxidil has worked so well for my close friends who deal with alopecia or postpartum hair loss.

The braids were probably drying it out. Try to find a local hair professional to help guide you on your journey to growing it back
