@ashleyjames: Recording the audiobook for BIMBO this week - I didn’t expect to cry in the recording booth. But this book lives so deep in my bones that the words just… caught in my throat. 🎧💔 BIMBO isn’t just something I wrote. It’s the most important thing I’ve ever put into the world. It’s deeply personal. Full of stories I’ve never shared before. But it’s also the book I wish had existed when I was growing up, when I was single and feeling behind, when I was shrinking myself to fit outdated expectations of womanhood, and when I was a new mum. It’s the book I hope will rewire our brains by unpicking the labels we’re given at every stage of our lives. The shame. The judgement. The boxes were pushed into. The outdated expectations that are placed upon us. And it’s about finding your way back to yourself, your voice, your confidence, and your power. I’ve loved reading it back and I’m honestly SO proud of what I’ve created. It’s the book I wish I had navigating body image issues, or in singlehood, or in early motherhood.
