there's a tiktok of a guy at a funeral who is hammering the top of the casket and I wasn't sure why until someone said the cemetery would later put the body in a cheaper casket in order to resale the expensive casket. So he damaged it so they could not resell it. 😳

I run a cemetery in Ohio and I would say 95% of the burials the family leaves before we do anything. If the family wants to stay they are welcome to. The biggest reason we wait until the family is for safety and not everyone who comes to see the burial wants to have the lasting memory of the backhoe or dump truck dumping dirt on there loved one.

In South Africa you watch your loved one getting buried by men using shovels, the family only leave after the burial . Is that wierd?

We were allowed to stay until the very end. We even watched them place my grandma into the cement case not sure what it's called, placed in the ground and watched them fill the hole. Heart wrenching but grateful we were to able to stay with her.

I dug them for 3 years. some family's wanna toss a few shovels full of dirt first. some want to stay for the whole thing. it's what ever you want.

A cemetery by me in St. Louis was doing a service for a man. His mother reached across the casket and hit his baby mama, causing the casket to fall on the ground. Another cemetery, the casket was dropped in the body came out.

Some funeral homes got the body in the ground and take the casket back and reuse it. It’s happening more and more in United States of America. Is this happening to you?

we had shovels and all took turns throwing the dirt on the casket...feeled it up and walked and packed the dirt
