@realpaulkaryakos: Is turning your food into "Lego bricks" worth it? I made a bunch of them using @cookingwithchaoscards recipe cards and the results were pretty interesting. Full deep dive over on Youtube.
we use it more for leftovers than actual meal prepping. we just finished the last of our leftover rice. its so convention to get a fresh full meal on the table especially on sick days.
we freeze our himemade brotha in these cubes too

I started doing this w/vacuum sealing while my hubs was stationed out of the country. Also stocked up my grandfather’s freezer w/filipino staples before I left my hometown when hubs returned 💜

I use these a lot for things like soup and pasta sauce because it's more cost effective to make a big batch of them but it's just my husband and I eating it. Like most soup recipes make like 2 gallons of soup.

I have ADHD and often find that it doesn't matter how hungry I was before cooking, if I cook a meal for my family, I get some kind of aversion to it by the time it's done. Freezing it means my husband can heat/cook food for me so that I can actually eat, even though he can't actually cook the recipes we eat. (I'm a vibe cook, and even I couldn't tell you the exact recipe for anything I make)

I’ve been freezing about 1/3 of my meals this way. I take them to work at least once a week.

Use them for leftovers. Souper Cubes is a marathon, not a sprint.

My SIL is about to start 7 weeks of chemo. I'm meal prepping meals that my BIL can easily heat up (he has some balance issues) for them. In the last week I've made 7 different meals (6-8 servings each) once I got into it, it's been fun, I've been using my food saver to seal them up too.

I like to freeze my plain rice when warm bc the ice crystals help it stick together and gives a little moisture for reheating.

How’d the buttered miso edamame come out reheated.

It’s like having freezer meals but more organic and cost effective

I looove mine. If you use no-boil noodles you can also prep lasagna directly into the cubes and then bake them individually later.

It’s only the best way ever to meal prep and freeze left overs. My favorite is keeping chili always in the freezer

I love freezing food. Been using souper cubes since 2020 and it’s so good for freezing leftovers or when I make large batches of curries, soups and sauces.

I usually make 6 portions of my lunch meal prep for the week, so I take 5 and freeze one in a souper cube. Every 4 weeks, I can use those as my meal prep for the week and just do one random leftover for that 5th day. Love my souper cubes, I use them so much!

instead of meal prepping the same thing for lunch for a week, having a few options like this in your freezer is way better. I'm packing egg roll in a bowl and calrose rice this morning for this afternoon's lunch

in our house we use them whenever I'm making a recipe that can't be paired down to just two people or a dinner and a lunch the next day. lifesaver for curry and chicken pot pie recipes because trying to make just enough for us is super hard but now we have easy dinners just waiting. also works great for stocks

My frozen items do straight from Souper Cubes to Cambro containers. I know ziplocs aren't single use but I can never get them clean enough. Now I keep containers of various rice bricks, various oatmeal bricks, soups and chilis, etc.
