If the testing clinic reaches out to you and says “the testing is $500+” just say, “no, my doctor said it was $250 and that is all I can afford to pay.” and they will only you charge you that. I’ve seen a ton of women on TikTok say that worked for them and even my own doctor said do not let them charge you more than $250 out of pocket!

The pregnancy nausea is no joke. I was so insanely sick with my 2nd son. Only thing that remotely helped was constantly sniffing peppermint & lavender oils

we keep hospital-esque puke bags everywhere in the house, in the cars, and in purses 😅 its helped on multiple occasions for me and family members who just get nauseous a lot. we bought bulk online 😅

We love the testing! Our philosophy is if something is wrong genetically, it’ll give us time to prepare! our insurance didn’t cover it but you can apply for financial aid or they usually do a much lower oop cost!!

Heyyyyy we have never done the NIPT because we’re low risk (young, no hx of genetic disorders in our families) and also because we would not TFMR anyway. The anatomy scan shows most issues anyway so we skip the blood test

I have hg im 31w today and still struggle with nausea if I dont take my meds so if you are still struggling I recommend zofran (I originally go prescribed 4mg it didnt work for me dont be afraid to ask for 8mg thats what I take) and I also take unisom sleeping tablets (specifically sleeping tablets it has doxylamine in it) and b6. I take my meds at night before I sleep instead of b6 throughout the day so I take 100mg of b6 at night with my unisom and zofran. also if you start to take zofran please do yourself a favor and start taking colace (1 colace for 4mg and 2 colace for 8mg) or you will question if the constipation or nausea is worse trust me 🫶 GOOD LUCK

Insurance didn’t cover mine and it was 800$. I thought it was worth it personally cause you’ll know about any genetic defects and you get to find out the gender
