Could this be caused by over filling the gas tank ? I was told years ago not to keep topping off once the pump stops . Gas will get into the evap system on newer vehicles.

I had this issue on the last dodge I had and no one could figure it out. it made it to 255k miles and head gasket blew in-between the cylinder walls. that thing had a tick for 100k miles

My 2006 Ram 1500 would pull these codes only during the winter months. Come spring nothing. Come winter again same story.

I run a small fleet of 25 trucks. If I chased down ever CEL I’d go broke. Until it actually runs poorly, we simply ignore the light.

To be fair it's usually cheaper to put a new gas cap than spending the time to further diagnose. 9 times out of 10 the cap solves the issue. if the issue continues you definitely NEED to do further diagnosis before you purchase any other parts.
