In giliad was daughters more celebrated than sons since it meant more babies from them and would Handmaid be betted if[ even though biologically is bullshit] she had more girls...and did giliad had any longterm plans because in bigger picture it was all shortlived, once in time there would only be wifes and daughters and a handfull of Hadmaids and Marthas, there system didnt have backplans
