I agree. However, I do believe you can feel sorry for HOW you handled that situation but not sorry for WHY you felt that way which I have said to people before. I reacted badly but I was hurt by something they did so I’m not sorry for that.

There's a difference between apologizing where it actually means something and where it's going somewhere. But if you apologize where you don't even know what you're apologizing for, then yeah, I agree most people when they apologize today will say I'm sorry I hurt you, " but what I ask, what are we apologizing for, cuz I already know what you did. So yeah, a genuine apology would definitely be a genuine forgiveness from my end
