One more thing to add boss man is a bad pump bushing behind that converter seal. I always change them if there’s a leak in the front.

Quick question that I haven't gotten a straight answer to: Are all allison 1000 bellhousings the same passages on the rear side? For example, a SAE bellhousing and a chevy pattern housing... are they the same on the back side? Pretty sure different years are the same or similar save for the inlets and outlets for the cooler.

I had one whoop my ass, had the trans out 3 times. The bushing inside the pump that rides on the converter was the fix for me. Similar to how the output shaft bushing on the T-cases that never stop leaking.

I have been building these for 20yrs the only ones I have had really puking we’re leaking from welds on the converter. Have actually had one that had never been apart had 200k on it and developed a leak from one of the pad welds.
