I get it. hair grows in different directions your head is not flat and gravity is weird. if you want it to be smooth then you shave how u want.

Bald man here, for your sides it helps to go with the grain, cross the grain, and then go against the grain. Also helps to put a little oil before the shaving cream and to use hot water to open the pores before shaving.
