Having the SAME issue- another lady said to soak them in vinegar, currently soaking all of them. Mine were from target AND Walmart, same material. Smells terrible.

Vinegar!!! Removes all odors!! And it's probably from shipping. When I worked at Ross and unloaded the truck, the boxes and the bags the clothes came in smellled so bad

Like Chinese food? I bought some clothes from forever 21, smelled like Chinese food… washed them & they still smelled. Decided to trash them

no promises, but try Odoban. we used it at the dry cleaners I used to work at and I live by it. I have not found a smell I couldn't get rid of. good luck

Soak in straight white vinegar over night. Then wash with baking soda and vinegar to see if that helps.
