@everyday_home_repairs: Product links are listed on our Facebook Page. When insulating a shed, the material you choose matters—but how you install it matters even more. I asked viewers what their favorite insulation was, and the results were split between fiberglass, Rockwool, foam board, and spray foam. Foam board came out on top, and that’s ultimately what I chose for my own shed. The reason wasn’t just popularity. Rigid foam board made installation straightforward, kept costs reasonable, and helped me avoid one of the most common mistakes homeowners make when converting a shed into a finished space: trapping moisture. Filling rafter cavities without planning ventilation can create condensation over time, which leads to mold and roof damage—especially with fiberglass. By installing two-inch rigid foam board on the bottom of the rafters, I maintained ventilation in every cavity while still achieving solid insulation performance. In this video, I walk through the reasoning, material choice, costs, and installation process so you can make a smarter decision for your own shed build. #ShedBuild #DIYInsulation #HomeImprovement #FoamBoard #MoldPrevention shed insulation, rigid foam board, foam board insulation, shed conversion, DIY shed, home insulation, mold prevention, roof ventilation, fiberglass insulation, Rockwool insulation, spray foam insulation, garage insulation, shed build, DIY home projects
