@loungeguru: Here’s my honest review about this flight… This was my Kenya Airways Boeing 737 flight from Dubai International to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta (KQ305), and I paid about $1,500 USD return for this ticket. This aircraft is clearly an older Boeing 737-800 twin jet, but I still wanted to show it because not every flight today is shiny and new. The flight departed on time and the total journey was just under 6 hours. Starting with what I enjoyed. Despite being a 2-2 configuration, there was a surprising amount of space. You could comfortably stretch your legs, move around, and even stand without feeling boxed in. The seat itself was comfortable, and from a pure comfort perspective, this flight actually scored quite high. I managed to get a few solid hours of sleep before arriving in Nairobi, which always matters on a flight of this length. Service was mixed. Parts of the crew later in the flight were friendly and pleasant, which I appreciated. However, the initial boarding experience was disappointing. The welcome did not meet the standard I expected and felt unnecessarily tense once the purser realized I was a youtuber, rather than being warm and friendly. I did raise this with the airline afterward, but there was no follow up. Food was another weak point. Both the breakfast entree and the main were extremely basic, with the potatoes being very dry. Nothing stood out, and it felt like a missed opportunity, especially for a long regional flight. For context, I have now flown Kenya Airways twice. Their Boeing 787, which I consider their flagship, was excellent on my Amsterdam flight. This Boeing 737 experience, however, did not come close to that level.
